Book
The 'SHE' art book encompasses work from the artist's series of the same name. I had free-reign to represent the work in a suitable way. Despite the visceral nature of the work, I found extracting individual colours from each piece resulted in softer pastel tones that worked harmoniously with the work but provided an aesthetic contrast. Using these colours as borders for the work enhanced each piece and broke the monotony of white pages. The book is available from the artist's online shop: 'SHE' - Art Book
Website
Taking direction from the book, the website was designed to present BAEL's work in the same way while also expanding the concept to older works. Text fade transitions are randomised to compliment the eerie yet beautiful artwork. BAEL.co.uk
The Content Management System allows the artist to add and maintain galleries. Suitable background colours are generated from the image pixel data on upload. The artist can also override the suggestion with a colour of their choosing.
Individual works for sale can be linked to the artist's BigCartel shop. New Blog Posts can also be added via the CMS.
